Today was the prem allied health group visit. It was our first visit so had no idea what to expect. Spoke to the physio who is quite happy with his progress. Little bugger made me a lair though. At home on his tummy he lays down and goes to sleep…but noooooooooo not there. Holding himself up really well and trying to pull his legs under himself! OT was happy as he is right on par for where he should be and so was the speechie. Although we are thinking he may have silent reflux but will try a few things before we think of any meds for him.

All went well. Paed was shocked at his size…according to him he is a big’un
Bare weight was 6.4kg! Length is 57cm, head is 38.5cm. So growing as he should. He no longer has undecended boy bits or retracting ones, LOL I am sure you all wanted to know that!! But they kept retracting and there was talk of surgery if they hadn’t settled down by 3 months…but all is good!
But the most important part was the blood test results. They are back and he is no longer anaemic, Hb was 122, up from 84 2 and a bit months ago. So YAY he has kicked the haemolysis in the butt!! No more bloods until possibly 1 year but we will just see how he goes. If he is growing well and his colour is good then they wont bother.
Back for another appt in April just to keep an eye on him…as I was reminded he is a prem LOL
Now to go find something naughty to eat to celebrate!!!

1/4 of Ethans first year has flown by. He is such a wonderful little man, although we could do with some longer sleeps overnight but hey that’s life!
Today he thought he would mark the 3 month occasion with yet another milestone. He rolled from front to back, not once or twice but over and over again!
He has also moved into the seat part of the pram. He was just too big for the bassinet, i don’t know how people can use them up to 5 to 6 months of age (for big term babies!!)
Weighed him today, and he is now 6.4kg. So that huge weight gain has definitely slowed down. We have to go for bloods on Monday, am not looking forward to it. It was different when he was just little but now he is that bit older it is going to be harder IYKWIM
